Mission: The Library Services Team exists to ignite possibility. We empower every learner in the Elmbrook Schools community to pursue their own journey - providing the tools, stories, and ideas they need to think deeply, learn boldly, and achieve their fullest potential.

Through literature, conversation, and shared discovery, our learning spaces and staff bring people together, spark curiosity, and nurture empathy. In doing so, we help build a community of knowledgeable, compassionate citizens ready to shape a better world.

Directions for Accessing Student Library Accounts

Destiny Library Catalog (Print Catalog)

Go to our School Libraries site
Next to your school name, select Destiny Link
In the upper right corner of the page, select Log In.
Select Sign in with Google and enter your student's school log in and password.
Select the My Info tab in the upper left corner, and you will see all the items your student has out.

Go to: https://soraapp.com/home
Select Find my school.
Once you have the right school, select All Students and Staff.
Sign in with Google using your student's school login and password.
Any books a student has checked out will appear on the screen.

Reading Opportunities

Golden Archer Award: (for students entering grades PK - Grade 8) Students read five books on the list of books nominated by students across the state. After reading the five books, students vote for the award winner based on the following criteria:

Children are asked to select a "best book" with these criteria:
1. Characters you never forget.
2. Plot that is so exciting it keeps you reading to the very end.
3. Place described so beautifully that you feel as if you are there.
4. Theme so important that it makes you live the book as you read.
5. Style: a story told so well that the book sings on in your mind .

All district schools will participate in the voting process during the 23-24 school year.

This award is unique in that books are nominated and selected by students. Students entering PK - Grade 2 in fall of 23-24 read the primary list. Students entering grades 3 - 5 read the intermediate list. Students entering grades 6 - 8 read the middle school list.

FaceBrook - Family and Community Engagement Book Club in Elmbrook (for students entering grades 3-12 and their families) This club is sponsored by Elmbrook Parent Network and Forever Friends Foundation.

Bridges Kids’ Choice Awards: (for students entering grades 4-6 in fall 2023) Students read as many of the books on the list as they can. After reading the books, students vote for their favorites. All Elmbrook elementary and middle schools participate in this program sponsored by Waukesha and Jefferson County public and school libraries.

Battle of the Books (Elmbrook participates in the Elementary Division, Middle Division for students in middle school, and Senior Division for students in high school).

FACEBrook: Family and Community Engagement Book Club

FACEBrook (Family And Community Engagement) is a book club for families and students.

FACEBrook's goal is to strengthen family and community engagement through book discussions focused on cultural and linguistic diversity with the hope of increasing and strengthening the ability to live and grow in a global community. (Family and Community Engagement is a focus area of Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction's initiative in Promoting Excellence for All.)
