Clubs & Organizations

The following clubs are offered at Swanson Elementary School:

Swanson Clubs & Organizations

  • Monday Morning Mindfulness Club: Students learn mindfulness strategies through fun crafts, lessons, and games
  • Chess: Students learn how to play chess while building relationships with their fellow club members.
  • Swanson Poms: Students learn basic pom moves, routines and parade steps. The group performs at Swanson school events and in two parades.
  • Latin Club: 4th & 5th graders learn Latin
  • Spelling Bee Club: open to 3rd, 4th & 5th graders who love to S-P-E-L-L!
  • Coding Club: Learn basic coding skills

In addition, students may participate in:

Clubs Announcements

The 6-week winter session of Monday Morning Mindfulness will begin on February 3rd, and will run through March 16th.  Students in Kindergarten through 5th grade are welcome to join us to learn mindful strategies that can help decrease stress and anxiety, increase optimism and build resilience and compassion. Topics covered will include how our brains work, focused breathing and awareness, breathing through movement, sharpening our senses, choosing optimism and expressing gratitude and kindness.


The session will run on the following dates beginning at 8am in room 215:

Winter Session: 2/3, 2/10, 2/17, 2/24, 3/9, 3/16

Swanson Elementary’s Power Pumas (Mira Chauhan, Addison Clark, Madelyn DePons, Neil D’Souza, Georgianna Janet, and Vedanshi Rajpal) competed at the Milwaukee Regional Destination Imagination tournament at Muskego High School on Saturday, March 9th. They placed 2nd place overall in the Improv category. Next they travel to Green Bay on April 13th where they will compete against teams from all over the state of Wisconsin.
