On Monday, February 19, many students will be wearing teal t-shirts that say Elmbrook String Festival. The festival takes place annually and this year, we have so many orchestra students  we had to move this event from the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center to the gym of Brookfield Central High School just to fit us all!

Nearly 700 orchestra students in grades 4-12 from across the Elmbrook School District will gather to rehearse music they have been preparing in a morning field trip.   After one rehearsal, the students will perform songs from each grade level for family and friends inside of the gym at Brookfield Central.

The evening performance will culminate in a grand finale with every string student in the district performing Beethoven's Ode to Joy from his famous Symphony No. 9. It's a wonderful way to see all these musicians coming together to create something beautiful in one rehearsal and performance!
