The School District of Elmbrook's Board of Education confirmed the Administration's recommendations of Martin Castro as Principal and Christie Johnson as Associate Principal of Swanson Elementary at its board meeting on Tuesday, March 8.
Castro is currently the Associate Principal of Swanson Elementary where he has served since 2019. He replaces Kori Hartman who is retiring after having served the families of Swanson since 2011. Johnson is currently a Teaching & Learning Specialist at Burleigh Elementary, a position she has held since 2014.
"We are fortunate to be able to fill critical leadership positions in our elementary schools with experienced talent from within our District," said Superintendent Mark Hansen. "Both Martin and Christie have done excellent work on behalf of students and these new positions will allow us to continue to build a successful learning experience for all students at Swanson Elementary."
Martin and Christie will begin their new roles in July 2022.
