College and Career Transportation

Elmbrook Schools is proud to offer our high school students van transportation, accessing the many opportunities available in college and career programming.

LAUNCH
Students who are taking a LAUNCH strand in a building outside of their home school can request van transportation. LAUNCH courses run on a modified schedule to accommodate traveling students. Transportation for mentor meetings and special events may be arranged upon request. Transportation is intended for students who have no transportation options of their own and not for occasional use.

Courses at Brookfield Central or Brookfield East
Some courses only run sections in one building; for example, Automotive courses only run sessions at Brookfield Central High School. On occasion, students will take courses outside of their home school for unique scheduling accommodations. Transportation will be provided for any student not of driving age or who requests it via the Elmbrook Schools Van Transportation request form.

Please note that these courses run on the typical high school schedule, and the two high schools have slightly different schedules. Given the drive time and the schedule students can expect on most days to arrive late to class. Students can inform their instructor(s) of the flexibility they will need.

Waukesha County Technical College (WCTC)
Students enrolled in the AM cohorts for the Dual Enrollment Academy (DEA) may receive van transportation to and from WCTC, if requested. Routes to the PM strands may be accommodated to WCTC, but transportation in the evening will not be provided. Students enrolled in courses outside of the DEA program through Start College Now may catch a ride during the route for DEA. In general, the van leaves each of the high schools between 7:15-7:30am and arrives back at the high schools around 12:30pm. Students must get a ride to their high school in the morning to catch the van.

Please contact Heather Brennan, Administrative Assistant to LAUNCH and Teaching & Learning, brennanh@elmbrookschools.org, with any van transportation questions.
