Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin, Hayat Pharmacy, Brookfield Elm Grove Interfaith Network (BEGIN) and the Waukesha Food Pantry are the recipients of the District's 2021 Excellence in a Community Partnership awards! These awards will be presented as part of the Engaged in Excellence Awards celebration on Monday, May 3 that will be livestreamed on the District's YouTube channel.

When the pandemic disrupted all normal and traditional blood drive collection operations, Versiti partnered with Elmbrook to help meet the critical blood supply needs in our community. Through Elmbrook's partnership with Versiti, 14 blood drives have been coordinated collecting over 500 units of blood that will help 1,500 patients in our region.

Hayat Pharmacy helped to change the trajectory of providing staff members with access to COVID-19 vaccinations. Hayat's flexibility and responsiveness supported several opportunities for staff vaccinations, which has helped stabilize school operations and provide health protections and emotional comfort to staff and families.

The Brookfield Elm Grove Interfaith Network (BEGIN) and the Waukesha Food Pantry responded to help address a growing need in our community regarding families struggling with food insecurity. Through school-based community food distribution events coordinated by the Elmbrook Food Service Team, hundreds of area families have been able to have sustainable access to food.

Congratulations and thank you to these amazing community partners!
