Congratulations to WHMS Teacher, April Heyden!
She is this week's Martino Merit Award recipient, presented to her on behalf of WHMS student, Jack Gamrat.
“When the school year started I already knew what to expect from teachers but when I met Mrs.Heyden she exceeded my expectations! Last year when my sister was at WHMS she had amazing feedback about Mrs.Heyden. I was excited to meet her but when I met her my expectations were blown out of the park! The way she is nice to the students and when a student is in trouble she stays calm! This is why I picked Mrs.Heyden for the Martino Merit Award” - Jack Gamrat :)
This award, established by WHMS staff in memory of former Wisconsin Hills principal Robyn Martino (who always put people and relationships first), alternates between staff and student. If a student receives it, he/she has a week to nominate a staff member, then the staff member has a week to nominate a student, and so on.
