Author John David Anderson visited Wisconsin Hills Middle School on May 2, to discuss his new young adult novel, Posted, with sixth grade students and staff.

Released on the day of the visit, Posted is a fictional story of middle school students who grapple with issues such as bullying and failures in communication following a school-wide cellphone ban. During the presentation, Anderson spoke of his personal life, his inspiration for writing, what makes a hero, and concluded by challenging students and staff to be their own heros in several creative ways.

After speaking, the author greeted students and signed copies of his books for both students and staff. Anderson's Posted, follows his popular Ms. Bixby's Last Day which was released in 2016.

This author visit was made possible at no charge to the district by Elmbrook Schools' community partner, Boswell Books.
